Montgomery Inn
Welcome to Montgomery Inn at Ingleside, a beautifully restored, seven bedroom heritage home nestled on 4 acres of serene countryside, directly across from the picturesque Lake of Shining Waters in Park Corner, Prince Edward Island.
Built in 1877 by Senator Donald Montgomery, grandfather of beloved Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery, this historic Victorian gem is a dream destination for Anne of Green Gables fans and lovers of L. M. Montgomery. This very home inspired the fictional "Ingleside," the cherished residence of Anne, Gilbert, and their children in Montgomery's iconic novels.
Step back in time as you explore original 19th-century flooring, doors, and antique furnishings that have been lovingly preserved. Whether you're sipping tea on the front porch, exploring the Anne of Green Gables Museum just across the road, or watching the sunset over the lake, you'll feel immersed in the charm and magic of "Anne's Land."
Ideal for fans, families, and romantic getaways, Ingleside offers a one-of-a-kind, historic experience in a setting rich with heritage, beauty, and storybook wonder.
COMING SOON: Spring of 2026 we will have the shed beside the Inn fully renovated into a darling cottage, ready for rent either together with the Inn for large groups or available separately for families of 6 or smaller. It will have a queen bedroom suite with full bathroom downstairs and an open loft with 4 twin beds above, embellished with all of the same historic charm as the Inn. Stay tuned for more details!

WHAT GUESTS ARE SAYING
"Absolutely loved our stay. The love and care that have been woven throughout the Inn was palpable. The place was immaculate with attention to detail right down to the spices in the kitchen. We had a family of 13, and we were all comfortable. Lauralee was the perfect host. We invested our time in: Thunder Cove beach, Cavendish-lovely town and beach, fishing, golfing (Red Sands is perfect for semi serious golfers), a church supper in New Glasgow (go on an empty stomach), Charlottetown (outdoor lunch at Peakes Quay), and a coastal drive to Tignish. The night sky from the backyard on a clear night is spectacular. And of course, Anne of Green Gables everywhere every day."
"Great place and very well-equipped. The property offers a lot of privacy, and even inside the house, it felt spacious and comfortable for our group of twelve people living together. We truly enjoyed the sense of seclusion and comfort throughout our stay. Lauralee is a great host—very responsive and helpful. We will definitely come back!"
"Our experience at Montgomery Inn at Ingleside was fantastic! What an amazing place. Beautiful! It's like taking a step back in time but with all the amenities. The inside decor is so interesting and historic. I took 11 people, and every single one of us loved it. We highly recommend it. The owner was so helpful. It was like we knew each other for years."
"My family of 6 had the most amazing vacation at the Montgomery Inn at Ingleside! The house is so spacious, well-appointed, and has a kitchen that has everything necessary for cooking homemade meals. The views are spectacular! It's infused with the spirit of LMM and Anne. I still close my eyes to go back to my view from the master bedroom window, or the view from the porch as I sat relaxing while my girls ran around playing make believe under the canopies of the big trees in the front yard. I can hear the howling of the strong island winds as they blew past the house. The drives to everywhere we went on the island were beautiful; it's an absolutely picturesque place. You are a minute away from the Anne of Green Gables Museum and can take a carriage ride from there to the beach. Book now!"
"Lauralee was extremely helpful and very quick to respond prior to and during our visit. The accommodations were impeccable and had everything we needed and more. The local recommendations were excellent! Highly recommended for families and groups as there is lots of space indoors and out. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
"We enjoyed the house very much! It was neat to stay at a house that was connected to L.M. Montgomery's life. The house was clean, the location was great, there were plenty of essentials, and the kitchen was well stocked. Communication was great!"
